I had an earlier version and purchased this to see if more colors are available.
You can use it for more than houses, but bear in mind you are limited to colors and textures in the program.
This one is slightly different than the older version I used before, but it still works well. Better to take a photo of your house and see what the new color will look like than buy the paint (especially at today’s prices) and find out it doesn’t look good!

I purchased this software to help in the renovation of our new home. So far, I have only used it for the outside landscaping and love it!! I will try and put the pictures on here so you can see how it works. I can’t wait to use it on the inside next!! Oh, and VERY user friendly…I didn’t even go through the user instructions first and I had no problem learning how to use it. Very easy! I would highly recommend this product to everyone!!

I purchased this to play with different ideas for a master bath that I’ll be remodeling soon. Although it had a lot more pictures for kitchens, it was still helpful with tile and vanity ideas. I also used it to try different paint colors in various rooms. If you take and upload your own photos…it’s a lot of fun!

I purchased this software to get an idea of how landscaping would look around our house. I had no trouble installing the software but I could not open one of my own pictures to paint. The screen would go gray. The only thing I could do was use the sample pictures. After contacting customer support twice and having two different people helping, I was told my file size was too large. I wasn’t even given an option to choose my own picture as I explained repeatedly. I was also told I can call their technical support department which by the way is not a toll free number. I decided to try and solve the issue myself so I decided to uninstall the software from my windows 7 machine and install it on my son’s XP machine. So far, I have not had a problem.

I’ve only done one photo so far, but it looks like the extent of this editor is applying textures to selected areas. If there are any trees or bushes you’d like removed from your photos you will need to use photoshop or something similar first. Don’t expect much realism from the finished product. There is no advanced shadowing or field of depth features so your house will look cartoonish when done. Also, I had wished there were more features for the interior of the home like light fixtures and chairs, etc. The software isn’t very intuitive either…it takes some time to figure out how to work it. Luckily I have experience with similar programs, but my father is completely lost with this.
