There is no point moving to cyprus for very little money working 6-7 days a week when the pay is not relative to living costs its as simple as that. HAVE YOUR OWN BUISNESS find a high paid job for 4-5 days a week or dont move here. otherwise there is no point. this seems basic but so many people do not think about work they think ‘oh there will be somthing’
I would urge noone to move here unless you are doing somthing in cyprus that is speciffically cypriot or depends on the sun. for example a young persons summer job (waterpark) you cant do that in england.or older a jetski beach buisness you cant do that in england somthing that really justifys living in cyprus.
and are competing with eastern europeans which are willing to work for very little.3.00 euros an hour If you can avoid these working hours and are able to be paid more money or setup your own buisness you may be onto a winner.
I would recomend staying in england where you will earn more money, and by all means come over for a 2-3 week holiday in the summer. I have heard about alot of jobs and done many myself and it is standard to work 6-7 days a week so by the end of the summer you will have most probably only had 2-21/2 weeks to enjoy the island.
As for property they take the mick out of english coming over, it seems lovely when your staying in a hotel but these people are constantly preassured and constantly watched on a daily basis to smile and to be nice to you in order to keep there jobs.The wages are very low and it is definitely not relative to living costs.
Its not such a good place to live to be honest the cypriots of course want your money but they dont really want english here and every nationality keeps to themselves apart from odd acassions,
I love Cyprus, I planned to buy a house, but after this, I think I will rather save my money.

‘m a greek Cypriot, In any country especially the UK, before you buya property there is rigorous due diligence. Why is it you dont apply the same when you buy elsewhere. What planet were you living on, when the only divided country in the still left in the world after the Berlin wall, is Cyprus. You didnt have to study History to see that? Too much to get into with what went on in 174 but the fact is North of Cyprus is still a war occupied territory. If you want to buy, buy in the south,idiots.

I have just returned from living out there for 12 months with my family and worked closely with a developer selling there properties . I can say from first hand experience that the Cyprus property market is totlally crooked and most developers will take any buyers to the cleaners if they can.
. As for the video above did you believe a word that governement official said .Couldn`t lie straight in bed .Most people over there are related and will stick together . Very anti foreigner attitude

I would love to live in cyprus myself, and I have been to see property, but the property marketis like a minefield , and best kept away from.
ive just inherited 15 acres of land near nicosia and ive also received the deads. its to a huge value.(millions) only thing is its on the green belt….. oooooh too bad

There are many cases in Cyprus where Brits ARE squatting in Cypriots homes and the Brits KNEW this before parting with money to folk who aren’t the true owners…
