Sad, yet the government is corrupt and will continue to bankrupt all funds, social security, disability, workers compensation, vet funds, medicare, stole pensions, home land security outsourced jobs, transportation funds diverted, housing, corrupt BANKERS, that is why we have a 9 trillion dollar debt, our budget was 3 Trillion for a year and crooks in congress diverted that money.

  2. billsarebullyesyes says:

    turkeyjurker- see reply for transitiving

  3. billsarebullyesyes says:

transitiving- take note, if the gov allowed the predatory lending practices & the borrowers defaulted, if the gov is willing to bail out the banks then WHY NOT THE PEOPLE???
but as always corporations/money first, people/humanity last. if WE THE PEOPLE are going to end up footing the note ANYWAY, i’d rather help the people instead of the corporations.

  4. DOLLARCRISIS says:

This is the aftermath of the biggest bubble bust in world history.

  5. GrownupPhan says:

That first woman is shockinging uniformed. She thought the one year re-fi was automatic no matter how she altered her debt load? It’s one thing if she’d been fraudulently given the wrong type of loan or even if the market bubble bursting caught her unaware.

  6. magnoid says:

    WOOT! go Naca :D

  7. timetofly5 says:

Why wouldn’t the bank thieves back out of a illegal loan!!sounds like this program benefits the law breakers more then the people. they stay out of prison and the government pays them back the money they lost and they still get to collect on the loan what a good deal they are doing us such a big favor. every one should join champaign for liberty they are tell us the truth and always have check them out

  8. turkeyjurker says:

i wasn’t referring to this piece in particular. i assume you watch their clips too. just over and over again their answer to problems is always more intervention/regulations. haven’t the governments of the world and the UN fucked things up enough already?

  9. crock703 says:

TRN does seem to sympathize with the homeowners, but I didn’t here them advocating for government assistance.

If anything, they rightly hint that the govt is negligent in turning a blind eye while this developed. In so much as failing to develop a sounder recovery plan. …No-strings bail-outs for foolish investment decisions,, ridiculous. It takes two to tango – who isn’t surprised that homeowners want similar assistance.

  10. crock703 says:

    Right.

Is it any surprise that after seeing the govt bail out lenders, that the clients are asking for a hand out as well?

The govt shouldn’t babysit foolish people. It also shouldn’t look the other way when someone is robbing them – which it did.

  11. turkeyjurker says:

that’s something TRL does not seem to understand.

  12. Transitiving says:

take notes TheRealNews “not from government” is how help should come

  13. jimmycater2 says:

Let everybody take note this is what happens to a nation that lets private banks take control of ur central bank and control ur money supply take note super powers of the future keep the bankers in check or ur nation is lost.

  14. fablan6 says:

One day we will be paying taxes for the oxygen we breathe.

  15. deerkiller26 says:

hold up, the fair child famly, that sounds familiar, was that near starke county, if it was i will be realy pissed

  16. deerkiller26 says:

i am a volunteer firefighter, and me and every body else at my staiton disagree with the fire tax

  17. electricguitarplayr says:

Taxpayer money should be used to pay for it. No one should be charged for it. But that taxpayer money should go to a privately owned company not controlled by the government. They will do a better job.

  18. olddogpark says:

I buy I own fire truck and park it out side my house don’t need 911 for any thing that’s america

  19. Engineer245 says:

Guess what, The owner of the home help purchased “ALL” of their equipment. Tunrs out much of it was purchased by federal tax dollars. Hum!!! He should get his money back!!!!!!!

  20. HunterPostHacked says:

    So lucky im Canadian…

  21. F6rd6SvtR6cing2010 says:

Volunteers are the one’s that need it the most, My Station receives no tax money, how else can we do our job if we have no fuel in the truck? No truck to put fuel in, unless you are a Firefighter like myself, and goodman070, do not say bad things about us. I sleep on the floor three nights out of the week, and get up at three in the morning to come to your house. Don’t you think I should have a bed to sleep in? Trucks to come save you? Think about it.

  22. POKEMASTERDAI says:

hey heres a tip. ENGLAND! go on, try it

  23. sabethafiredept says:

There are fire depts. all over the country that are severly underfunded, its sad that it has come to this. The average person in my community pays $11 dollars per year to our fire dept. but they wont budge to pay several dollars more, its rediculous what this has come to.

  24. Erilis666 says:

    …. this is fucking terrible…
Here’s what it comes down to: reps believe if you aren’t smart/tough enough to figure out how to make a lot of money for yourself then you’re not worthy of having your fires put out, let alone living.

  25. trentreznorisgod69 says:

    Boss Tweed would be proud.

  26. repsol210 says:

Volontiers give me a fucking break than how are they paying ther bills. Fuckin pussis ewribody wonts more money I wona be a millioner too I don’t care becouse their trucks are 500k ask for discount I m not paying for that shit I m only paying taxes and that is it.

  27. marcostar57 says:

@goodman070 Yes I do — just like SCHOOLS have to! Teachers are LAID OFF … class size increases; salaries are cut-back, etc.. it’s a sorry situation thanks to the economic mess we’re in (caused by right-wing neo-liberal economic policies started by Reagan and acclerated by Bush 41 & 43) but the public-sector entities have to tighten belts. We need to demand that politicians do the courageous thing and support ALL our public services.

  28. marcostar57 says:

    @AlvaroAndfriends

Sorry..I hit the thumbs down by mistake. Meant to say thumbs UP!

  29. goodman070 says:

so your excepting firefighters to cut back to reduce cost?? Have you looked at most fire dept’s in this great country? most are volunteer, meaning that the firefighter’s don’t get a pay check, every cent from a fire or car wreck goes to the Dept in your community to possibly HELP YOU one day, and you want them to cut back, bet your ass you wont be saying that when your the one with a house on fire or stuck in your car because you rolled it, quit your bitching,

  30. AlvaroAndfriends says:

LOL if i knew i wouldn’t ask that question.

Thanks for the thumbs down LOL

  31. marcostar57 says:

@AlvaroAndfriends “How on earth is the U.S going broke so damn fast?” It’s due to what’s called ‘American Empire’ and the Military-Industrial Complex…. don’t you know?!

  32. marcostar57 says:

    @goodman070
Politicians have to have the balls to stop listening to red-neck right-wingers who bitch & moan about how high their taxes are — and as Cenk says raise taxes to cover costs. This is asinine! But, as an educator I know schools ALWAYS need to cut-back so I’m sure Fire Dept’s can reduce costs in some ways, also.

  33. H3llM4rine says:

HarveyRex23: I sure hope not. It was in my attention that Libertarians believed the government was here to protect our natural rights, which include life, liberty, and property. We have a PD to protect some of those things, and it seems in line to have a FD to protect those things as well.
Does anyone know why this would work, because in all honesty, I’m not sure why a libertarian might say the above makes any more sense than publicizing hospitals. =/

  34. HarveyRex23 says:

For Profit Private fire departments are a fuckin right wing Libertarian’s wet dream.

  35. goodman070 says:

So how do you expect fire stations to up keep their equipment and training if they can’t charge anyone for their services? not even a volunteer firefighter departments, which i am a part of, can not relay on tax money there isn’t enough to go around, have you priced a fire truck lately? they’re not cheap. keep up your bitching and complaining and when your house catches fire and your fire dept can’t save your whole house because they can’t afford the equipment they need to do our job efficiently

  36. Justwosweet says:

So your saying everything is a business, even the pd?

  37. newdarnaccount says:

I should say if fire fighters had the same philosophy as (I guess the hot term is) corporatists, they’d be freakin’ rich. But just imagine the bill business might end up getting for a fire at an oil refinery or some such. But I’ll bet it would be able to duck the bill.

  38. newdarnaccount says:

Grrr …. Worth watching even though I wonder how long a comment might stay up. Some “volunteer firefighters” are actually what are known as paid on call. Just that, they’re paid for the call to which they respond. Some also get benefits–such as a pension and the opportunity to take free community college courses. If ff’s had the same philosophy as Wall Street and bankers, they’d be freakin’ rich. Fine, then let it burn. Good luck getting out of the car on your own. Etc.
