Question by araminta: Is it possible to have a UK property fitted with European electrical wiring/plug sockets?
I’m not sure if this is possible? Someone sent me pictures of a property that seems to have European plug sockets, when questioned she states that her Dad is Spanish and wired her house the European way so she uses either European appliances or has adaptors for UK ones. The house is in Kensington London and has been refurbished totally in the last 5 years.
Does this sound feasible?

It would probably be illegal under the new wiring regulations but if it was done without any council or regulation getting involved then it is possible.

bs 7671 http://shop.bsigroup.com/en/ProductDetail/?pid=000000000030155604 if it meets the standards set out in bs7671 then why not? it is a eu harmonised document . But make sure it is certified
It’s probably legal, but it would certainly devalue the property when they want to sell it.
