Out Cold

Out Cold

This wild comedy is an intoxicating mix of mountain-high hilarity and radical winter sports action! For snowboarders Rick (Jason London — DAZED AND CONFUSED), Luke (Zach Galifianakis — BUBBLE BOY), and their buddies, life at the Bull Mountain ski area is about partying hard, looking for girls, and doing anything for a good time! But when the town’s founder dies, his son decides to sell the mountain to a sleazy developer (Lee Majors — TV’s SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN) who’s intent on turning Bull M

So many times it seems that the best movies fly under the radar. “Dude, Where’s My Car?” did more at the box office than “Out Cold”. There is something wrong with that. A.J. Cook and Victoria Silvstedt provide plenty of eye candy, but the movie itself is hilarious. Most people my age (23) won’t get the Casablanca references but that’s okay. Those who do get them will laugh even harder. This isn’t classic comedy nor does it claim to be, but if you want a good laugh from a hilarious movie, this is always an excellent choice.

Out Cold is probably the best comedic movie that involves extreme sports in it. It is absolutely hillarious. Bull Mountain, home to many skiiers and snowboarders, is being sold to Lee Majors, a big corporate ski lodge owner, who plans to make changes to the mountain. Luke (Jeremy London) has different plans though, and sabotages Majors’ ideas. This movie has action, comedy, and snowboarding, a best bet for any movie junkie.

I’m sure that you have seen the gut-spillting T.V spots by now. (The spinning car gag) However, Out Cold is that and much much more! The film centers around a group of friends who have been working on the same Ski and Snowboard mountain for years. Now, though it’s being sold and they are the only ones who can stop that from happening. It does sound like the same old stories of the small guys stopping the big buisness men and it is. The way the movie does it is the orginal part though. You will be laughing almost constantly as the jokes never stop coming and never get old. The guy who gets spun in the car (I never caught his name because I was laughing too much) is by far the funniest character in the movie. Whenever you can go see this movie if you are in the mood for some comedy where you don’t have to think about it for days to get the jokes.

Well, I think Out Cold is just one of the best comedies out there. I totally recommend this movie, to anyone that enjoyed at least a bit movies such as American Pie series, Road Trip, Eurotrip,… It’s just one of those movies, that makes you watch it over and over and over again. It has some seriously hilarious jokes in it. The best ones are those, which are featuring the two brothers. Beside these jokes, you also have a few really nice girls in this movie, especially A.J. Cook.

Well I swear aou will enjoy this movie. It is a must have for any student out there. The perfect movie to watch, if you want to laugh and laugh and laugh.

Who knew complete inanity could be so fun? Apparently music video veterans Brendan and Emmett Malloy, whose debut film, Out Cold, practically drips the kind of nonsensical stupidity that made movies like Hot Dog… The Movie famous – if, by famous, you mean cult classics. The previews basically say it all: a bunch of permanently-sodden snowboarders do stupid stuff, cool tricks, and have a hell of a lot of fun, while producing laughs aplenty.See, there’s this guy, Rick (Jason London, To Wong Foo), a snowboarder and instructor in the tiny Alaskan hamlet of Bull Mountain. Bull Mountain is basically the kind of place where you can go and do whatever the hell you want, a Dionysian Cicely where Rick has surrounded himself with friends Anthony (Flex Alexander, She’s All That), Luke (Zach Galifianakis, Corky Romano), Pigpen (Derek Hamilton, Disturbing Behavior) and Lance (David Denman, The Replacements). Rick wants to date Jenny (A.J. Cook, The Virgin Suicides), but can’t seem to get over a fling he had with a Lolita-like girl he met in Cancun (Caroline Dhavernas, Lost and Delirious). When real-estate developer John Majors (Lee Majors, the Colonel from “The Six Million Dollar Man”) shows up to turn the town into a yuppie haven of sushi bars, espresso machines, and Porsches with chains on the tires, Rick and company realize it spells the death of their happy-go-lucky lifestyle and decide that freedom is more important than yuppie dollars. They then devise an Animal House plan to get their town back. Along the way, the humor ranges from slapstick (getting your male parts caught in a Jacuzzi) to satire (some excellent semi-spoof scenes from Casablanca, Fight Club, and Gladiator) to Cheech and Chong-style bong jokes. Yes, there’s something in this film for everyone, and if you can’t at least find one of the stupid things that goes on in Out Cold to laugh about, you might to check your pulse and thaw yourself out a bit.We had better get used to this `Tween Time for the next few years – the time between when the most recent Harry Potter film debuts and the next Lord of the Rings installment hits theatres. Studios are rolling out their lowest-rung fare to try and scrape a few bucks away from the approximately 40 American moviegoers who won’t be at those movies. The problem is that Out Cold got nestled in with the rest of the tripe, and is going to get far less attention than it probably deserves. If you’re tired of Potter and waiting for Frodo, perhaps it’s time to get out in the cold.
