Q&A: Buget for an interior decorator?

I’m looking to furnish/decorate the family room of my new home, but I am useless at doing it on my own. I hear that there are interior decorators that target a more “affordable” budget. I’m not looking for anything extravagant or designer. Just a well “put-together” room.
Does anyone have any idea what the budget for this kind of project/decorator would be?

I would look for a budget decorator. Just tell them up front what you are willing to spend. Make sure you ok every purchase, and color choice.

Where are you located. I have an Interior Design business catering to budget decorating but I live near Boise, ID. I charge $75 for a two hour consultation that involves giving you ideas of what to do, selecting colors and many more things too lengthy to go into here. Then you can do the work, I can do the work or have someone else do it depending on what is needed. I do know some designers around the country so let me know where you live.
