Kirstie allsopp on London Tonight 16/08/2004 “There isnt gonna be a market crash there well may be a levelling off in prices, which we all have been hoping for” “A property crash in highly unlikely due to high employment and low interest rates.” She suggests there should be laws against having a vested interest in prices crashing etc, yet she ramped property and is married to property developer Ben Anderson ???

  11. atraherne says:

What would be nice would be a viewing gallery at the top. He says its potentially possible to see the channel on clear day, will easily see the sea to the east. Yeah, I like these things for the possibility to go sight see out of, the eye is quite good but this is obviously much higher so much better views.

  12. LiiV3LoNDoNLiiF3 says:

has any one noticed every building in london has a unique shape

  15. leesetters says:

yeah its ver in considerate of residents and ints inconsiderate of the historic fabric of the area

  16. leesetters says:

    i completely agree.
building tall in london i think i great but preserving londons historic fabric must be taken into consideration.
historic london is what 37 million people a year come to see and modern developers need to understand that.

  17. lion2010 says:

True, but there’s Wood Wharf next to Canary that is not on Flight path and there is no reason not to build as bigger skyscrapers as they like!

  18. JASONMOORE87 says:

if you look at the styles !

    1) Canary Wharf = tall buildings, square shaped,

    2) City Centre = more towered tall buildings

  19. LoNd0n3rAlLTh3w4y says:

Amazing!!! London-the most surveilled city on the planet. London city is changing rapidly and it’s amusing to see how much people come to visit London all around the world. It’s something to be proud about! X-..XC3LL3NT W0RK..-X

  20. dizzyyaz says:

Technical stuff !! wonder how long the lifts take to get to the top. But hey how long does it take to come all the way from top to the bottom of the stairs ?

  21. HarkerChelsea says:

Damn could of used some of this stuff in last years assignment ;-) luvya Dockdev !!!

  22. Droplip says:

Shard is an amazing looking building. The building being built next to it “baby shard” is a bit of a disappointment though.

  23. ArchitekJenny says:

Demolitions nearly completed on the site soon to be occupied by Shard. Also noticed in the meantime the smaller baby tower “Strata” (next to Castle House)at Elephant and Castle quickly climbing towards the sky.

  24. ministryod10 says:

Well now its nealy November soo he Bishopgate is Under Construction now!

  25. robyoung1 says:

There are no plans in canary wharf for a building larger than the shard… as canary wharf is on a flight path for City Airport.

  26. dsfish1556 says:

    i`d fuck her

  27. dan32113 says:

@videoneptune this fat bint is from upper class background, her Dad is a baron for fuck sake. She gives not 1 shite about normal people. Its cunts like her that price “local people” out of homes in Gloucestershire, Cornwall etc with 2nd homes. & where i come from, Hay on Wye its full of middle class home counties scum! Fucking die Allsopp..

  28. videoneptune says:

Kirstie was absolutely right. Despite the recent dip in prices a £300000 pound house in greater London Q3 2003 (when these suckers sold up) would now be worth £394703 (Q1 2010). Factor in stamp duty and agents fees, removals and rent etc. and these guys have taken a hit of almost 50%

  29. subhrag says:

when will this fat pig learn basic economics and start to tell the not very bright that an increase in asset prices is transfer of wealth, not creation of wealth. In all markets 20% of the participants make 80% of the money. That changes only in the late stage of a bubble.

  30. Peonies21 says:

And she was right. This is 6 years ago folks not last year. The economic situation at that point did not indicate a market crash. When there is high employment, consumer confidence, increasing population and demand for housing and no (obvious) nasties on the horizon then people will continue to buy pushing prices up or at least static. So, her historical advice was right. Of course if those chaps waited until now to buy (6 years later) then well and good for them!

  31. AndreasAntoniusMaria says:

    @ianupton
Would love to F*ck her though! Think it would be great fun!

  32. 1800johndoe says:

Kirstie Allsopp please sit on my face!

  33. KENKENNIFF says:

People who sold in 2004 and went into rented won. People who followed Kirsties advice lost.

  34. ianupton says:

its a housing bubble. obscene prices that have destroyed the wider economy. hahaha. you reap what you sow. £1.2 trillion and adding at the rate of £42mil per hour. of FUTURE taxation to fill the hole from all the failed mortgages that failed because the amounts people borrowed were unsustainable, and this woman and her developer husband and his property porn production company have played a key part in the greed fest. your pensions have been destroyed now. happy ?

  35. liambunter says:

  36. p4eugeot says:

  37. primuschimpus says:

Does she not realise she’s advising a shadow government who promote a system of speculation and pushing numbers from one screen to another in order to make huge profits?

  38. GriefTourist says:

how i would love that sat on my face

  39. Pr0jectMKUltra says:

And to think this self-important cunt has been advising the future government on this stuff. I’d like to make her choke on my dick for her stupidity…

  40. wikichris says:

She ignored the second question and continued going on about the website. Stupid bitch. It wasn’t that website which caused the recent crash.

  41. ianupton says:
