Full-sized dishwashers

The larger Full Sized machines will be able to take more than 120 pans, plates, and pieces of cutlery. If you have the space (full sized dishwashers are 60cm wide) then this is your best option full sized machines can also be the most energy and water efficient.

You have two types of full sized machine Free Standing and Integrated Dishwashers to decide between. Integrated dishwashers are built into the Kitchen and you can have the the front panel of the machine hidden behind a kitchen cabinet door or you can have it where the front panel is still visible.

Slimline dishwashers

When room is at precedence in your kitchen area, a slim-line dishwasher would be a good decision. The machines are 45cm wide so they are 15cm slimmer than full-sized machines but are still capable of washing almost 100 items at once. Slim-line dishwashers can also be free standing or built-in (Integrated). Built-in dishwashers fall in to two categories, fully integrated where the entire front panel of the dishwasher is hidden behind a kitchen-cabinet door or semi-integrated where most of the front panel is covered but the front panel is still visable

Compact dishwashers

Compact or counter-top dishwashers sit on top of kitchen work surface counter and are an ideal choice if you want a dishwasher but have no vacant cupboard space to get a full-sized or slim-line machine into.

They are a little bit larger than a big microwave oven, and have a smaller capacity of around 50 items, so you won’t be able to wash that many dishes at once. Compact dishwashers use more water and electricity per item than slim-line and full-sized machines so are the most un environmentally friendly out of the three. But if space pushes you then this is the one.
